Position Overview:

Working in the systems development group of the company who manage and maintain all aspects of the company's Operational Support Systems (OSS) globally. The role manages the Ubuntu based operating system that the OSS runs on. From day to day administration to deploying new Servers and managing planned upgrades.

Systems Administrator/Linux/Unix/Ubuntu Key Responsibilities:

  • Patching and security compliance for Ubuntu Unix operating systems and associated software
  • User account administration
  • Follow processes for deploying development code to pre-production testing environments
  • Report to Platform Manager for day-to-day activities
  • Provide out of hours support as required on rota basis (approximately 1 week in every 5) - is compensated for

Systems Administrator/Linux/Unix/Ubuntu Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrating Ubuntu or other Unix/Linux based operating systems
  • Ubuntu/Unix/Linux operating system upgrades
  • Ubuntu/Unix/Linux patching
  • Ability to follow step by step procedure guides
  • Change and problem management
  • Willingness to learn
  • You will work closely with the rest of the team and be able to demonstrate your ability to work well in a team

The role of Data Centre Supervisor is to manage the support element of our Data Centre facilities.

This includes the management of the Data Centre Technician team, as well as providing assistance to the Data Centre Manager and Operations Director with planning infrastructure upgrades as well as ensuring support is maintained to all customers of the data centre environment.

Data centre Supervisor / Data centre Lead / Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • A point of contact for internal teams to contact regarding operational constraints related to proposed new solutions as well as involvement in planning the deployment of said solutions;
  • Point of contact for internal teams to facilitate and carry out Data Centre tours;
  • Personnel Management of Data Centre Technicians.
  • Responsible for the build, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of Servers running various operating systems from W2K, Linux to Solaris;
  • Racking of Switches, Routers and network hardware;
  • Respond, action and resolve requests/faults logged both internally and externally;
  • Escalation of faults and issues to various internal teams, Dependent on the type of fault/issue;
  • Ensure data centre support coverage is maintained in accordance with the rota;

 Data centre Supervisor / Data centre Lead / Manager Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and installing operating systems, networking and software;
  • A general understanding of networking;
  • Working in an customer focussed environment;
  • Familiarity with all computer systems;
  • Excellent technical skills;
  • Management of effective and timely problem resolution;
  • Previous experience of people management with the correct set of soft skills;

Datacentre Technician - Data Centre Engineer – Hemel Hempstead

£18,000 to £32,000 + 15% Shift allowance + 10% Company Bonus potential

The role of Data Centre Technician is to provide assistance to the Data Centre Supervisor, in building and maintaining infrastructure to support our customers. They will be responsible for the resolution of hardware issues, deployment of new systems, reinstallation of operating systems as required, as well as ad-hoc support requests, including liaising with co-location customers. In addition to the above they will be responsible for helping the Inventory Controller manage stock within the Data Centre, including but not limited to, fault reporting, logging RMA cases with suppliers and general housekeeping.

Datacentre Technician - Data Centre Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain Servers as our customers grow
  • Respond, action and resolve requests/faults logged both internally and externally
  • Racking of various hardware
  • Troubleshooting hardware
  • Carrying out scheduled and impromptu remote hands requests
  • Active monitoring of all devices
  • Data Centre reporting (power, fault lights, etc.)
  • Work with the Deployment Team in configuring customer solutions
  • Work with the Engineering Team in testing new Operating Systems and hardware
  • Work closely with 3rd party service providers
  • Travel between various Data Centres, both nationally and internationally (as and when required)
  • Be a point of contact for customers and assist with escorting and resolving issues related to their co-location environment

Datacentre Technician - Data Centre Engineer Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and installing operating systems, networking and software
  • A general understanding of networking

Working within our Client Services team, the Trainer/Account Manager will be responsible for the Account Management of restaurants on our mobile app platform using excellent customer service skills and experience presenting to large groups of people.

The Trainer/Account Manager will provide training to restaurant staff on the mobile app platform as well as providing customer care and support with the goal of maintaining the business relationship and driving territory transactions and sales volume within existing accounts. The Trainer/Account Manager will communicate updates, provide marketing merchandise, incentivise waiting staff and monitor progress of transactions.
